Resolving “The Citrix MetaFrame server you have selected is not accepting incoming connections” error

Situation:-

1.       Citrix users in your organization start seeing/reporting the following error when they click on an application in the Citrix Web console.

“The Citrix MetaFrame server you have selected is not accepting incoming connections”

To resolve this issue, perform the following steps:-

1.       Login to any Citrix server in your farm and open the Management Console for MetaFrame Presentation Server.

2.       Under “Servers”, select the server on which the application is host.

If you do not know the server on which the application is hosted, then please perform the following steps:-

a.       Open the Management Console for MetaFrame Presentation Server.

b.      Under “Applications” select the application that was showing the error.

c.       Right click the application and select “Properties”

d.      Note the servername under “Configured Servers”.

 Proceed to step 3.

3.       Click on the sessions tab on the top.

4.       The “ICA-Tcp” session state would show “Down”.

  

 5.       Right click “ICA-Tcp” and select “Reset”.

6.       Verify the ICA-Tcp session state again. It should show “Listen”.

7.       Try opening the application again. It should open up fine.
